This filtration assembly is used for vacuum filtration of tissue culture media, biological fluids, HPCL and other aqueous solutions.
Assembly consists of four, borosilicate glass components: 300ml funnel, highly integrated, sealed 47mm fitted support base, one liter flask, and an aluminum clamp to hold the filter funnel and support base properly.
The sintered disk, which acts as a filter is G2 porosity, with a 40-90 micron range. The 47mm filter provides an effective filtration of 9.6cm². This unit is designed to maximize flow and reduce foaming.
Measurements: Assembled, this set measures 17.25" tall, 8" wide and long. Flask measures 9" tall, bottom diameter is 5.25", and top diameter is 1". Vacuum base measures 5" tall, top diameter is 1.75", filter diameter is 1.75", inner tube diameter is 0.5". Funnel measures 5" tall, top diameter is 3", bottom diameter is 1.5". Clip measures 6.25" wide, 3.25" long and 3.25" tall.
Eisco Labs Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: Strain Point -515°C | Annealing Point 565°C | Softening Point 820°C.
