This model is a 3D rendering of the process of meiosis cell division in a plant cell. The model is made of tough fiberglass molded cell models on a sturdy MDF backboard and has clearly labeled phases. The cells are shown in great detail with vibrant colors and provide an internal view of the chromosomal shifts that occur throughout the process of meiosis in a plant cell.

The base measures 18" wide, 24" long and 0.5" high. Each phase block measures 3" wide, 4" long and 0.75" tall. The total height of this model measures approximately 1.25".

Phases and Details Identified: interphase, prophase-1 (leptotene, zygotene, pachytene, and diplotene), diakinesis, metaphase-1, anaphase-1, telophase-1, daughter cells, prophase-2, metaphase-2, anaphase-2, telophase-2, and gametes
