Wire Testing Clamps, with Wing Nut Fixings - Aluminium - Test for Breaking Strain and Strength - Eisco Labs
- Pair of clamps with wing-nut and washer fixings
- Made of quality aluminum
- Clamps measure 2.5" x 2" x 0.75".
- Great for physics experimentation such as testing breaking strain and strength
- Clamps feature hole for hanging slotted weights
A pair of aluminum clamps which allow wire material to be investigated for breaking strain, strength etc. Each clam features wing-nut and washer fixings. Typical investigations would breaking strain and strength. These clamps are designed for testing fine ductile materials such as nylon, elastic bands, copper up to 30 SWG, human hair etc. Where the applied load will not exceed 10Kg. These clamps are not suitable for testing low elasticity materials such as steel or brass etc. Stretch of materials is usually measured by placing a meter rule alongside the system. The wire can be clamped through the hole in the main bolt or wrapped around it. Loading of the bottom clamp is by means of standard slotted weights. Supplied without weights.
Each clamp measures 2.5" tall, 2" at the wider end and 0.75" at the narrow end. Each clamp has one 0.325" hole for slotted weights, or for hanging from a lab stand.
