12PK Raw Soapstone, Mineral Specimens - Approx. 1" - Geologist Selected & Hand Processed - Great for Science Classrooms - Class Pack - Eisco Labs
- SOAPSTONE | Through the process of metasomatism, hot fluid infiltrates the atomic structure of other silicate minerals, altering them to form soapstone. Soapstone is at the bottom of the Mohs scale of hardness, and has a distinct soapy feel
- GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | Ideal for identification & classification exercises. A great example for lessons in mineral hardness, and characteristics exhibited by hydrothermally altered minerals. This set of six samples is excellent for group study and examination
- GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand processed by an actual geologist, ensuring each sample exhibits defining features
- LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed in Victor, NY
