Comprises a length of fine platinum wire of about 2 ohms resistance, wound non-inductively on a mica frame and soldered to stout copper leads. A pair of compensating leads are provided, all four leads being connected to 4 mm socket terminals.
For showing the principles of platinum resistance thermometry and for accurate temperature measurement using a bridge method such as 'Cary-Foster' bridge.
