12 Pack - Oolitic Limestone, Sedimentary Rock Specimens - Approx. 1"
- OOLITIC LIMESTONE | Oolitic limestone is a carbonate rock formed from the cementation of thousands of ooids. Ooids are tiny nodules formed from the accumulation of carbonate material around a nucleus. When cemented together and lithified, these ooids can form rock.
- GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | Oolitic limestone forms in reef or lagoon environments, and is useful in the classroom for lessons on depositional facies, sedimentary rocks, and stratigraphy. This set of six samples is excellent for group study and examination
- GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand processed by an actual geologist, ensuring each sample exhibits defining features
- LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed in Victor, NY
- LABELED PACKAGING | Samples are packaged in a transparent bag, labeled & barcoded for easy identification
